POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME

ALLERGIC TO GRAVITY

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is a condition characterised by a rapid increase in heart rate when transitioning from sitting or lying down to standing up. It falls under the umbrella term of Dysautonomia, which refers to dysfunction in the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)

The ANS controls various bodily functions such as blood pressure, digestion, heart rate, and breathing .In individuals with POTS, the ANS does not function properly, leading to inadequate blood flow to the heart and brain, resulting in a rapid heart rate . POTS is diagnosed by measuring blood pressure and heart rate while lying down and then standing up, with a heart rate increase of at least 30 beats per minute (bpm) within the first 10 minutes of standing . It is most commonly seen in women of childbearing age, but can affect anyone . The exact cause of POTS is unknown, but it can be primary or secondary to another condition . While there is no cure for POTS, various treatments and lifestyle changes can help manage the symptoms

Mild or Severe POT syndrome is not deadly but has a range of limitations.

A person with POTS does not have a normal life since recovery after simple moves like walks or standing up takes a lot of time.

It takes a lot of time until he or she knows it's POTS because it is misdiagnosed.

Most doctors don't even know what it is and will diagnose different and stupid opinions related to the symptoms of the syndrome.

From irritable bowel to diabetes, heart problems, or panic attacks all these symptoms are from the same source.

The ANS, or automatic life support system has some errors and the owner is left with incompatibility with a normal life.
